  Inscription ...... Are deposited the remains of JOHN BOYS, Esquire Formerly of Betshanger and late of Each House in this County Who departed this Life On the 16th day of December 1824. Aged 75 Years. He married in January 1774, Mary, Eldest daughter of the Rev. Richard Harvey, Vicar of Eastry and Worth. Seven sons & Five daughters (The issue of this marriage) survive, Who unite with his afflicted widow In erecting this tablet to his memory. Also ? the above named Mary, his widow who died on the 5th day of February, 1850, in the 95th year of her age.
