• Notes

The Life and Times of Selina, Countess of Huntingdon: Volume 2 contains many references to Reverend John Hawkesworth, page 188 being the most useful. No death or burial record has been found for the Rev. John Hawksworth. The Index To Death Duty Registers 1796-1903 gives his abode as Horsley, Gloucestershire, England in 1810. However, Bank Of England Wills Extracts 1717-1845 records his abode as Nevills Court, Fetter Lane (London) and of Wem in Salop.
