  Grave transcription: In Memory of MR THOMAS SALT of Rugeley in this County afterwards of Shrewsbury and Mary his Wife. He was the only child of Mr. Thomas Salt of Great Haywood (by ALICE his first Wife) and died May 14th 1817 aged 66 years. She was the eldest daughter of Mr George Corser of Whitchurch in Shropshire and died March 22, 1795 aged 36 years
